Millions of people around the world suffer from Chronic Sinus infections. RhinoCare has developed a unique and innovative solution for the treatment of sinus infection using heat. Clinical trials show that the RhinoCare solution is highly effective. Tens of thousands of the RhinoCare devices have been sold and are being used in Clinics. Due to the device success in market place, RhinoCare decided to develop a unique nose interface to be utilized in the home devices.

The Challenge
Development of a simple nose interface form the RhinoCare device that is easy to use and can be fit on every subject. The nose interface is required to produce narrow air jet flow streams into the nostrils. Each user must be able to adjust the jet streams individually.

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
As part of our development process, we have developed many working prototypes, in order to research many configurations, in order to identify the optimal agronomic form that can be held comfortably with one hand for the entire duration of the few minute treatment.

DESIGN PROCESS
The device design features smooth curvature lines while the function selection button features sharp curvature lines in order to emphasize this feature.

ENGINEERING
In the engineering process we used unique bio-compatible materials and we developed a special thermal construction for protection from the heat produced at the nostrils.

THE FINAL PRODUCT
A unique and innovative nose interface enables each user to adjust the jet streams for optimal individual fit, leading to a very pleasant and comfortable user experience.
